VENEREAL DISEASE.
INVESTIGATIONS IN OHRISTCHttBCH. - The committee on Tenereai diseases will leave Wellington for Christchurch this evening and will commence its Christchurch Bitting at 9.30 a.m. tomorrow morning iu tno board-room of the North Canterbury Hospital Board. The committee consists of the Hon. W. H. Triggs, MX.C. (chairman), Dr. J. P. Freng.oy, Deputy Director-Gen-eral of Health (representing Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, who is aosent through sickness), Sir Donaid McGaVin, Dr. J. S. Eiliott, and Lady £uke. Mr Murdoch Frat.er, chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board, who represents Hospital Boards of the Dominion on the Board of Health, will unfortunately he unable to accompany the committee to the South island, owing to illness. Mr C. J. Drake is secretary to the committee. The committee is already assured of a very fair volume of evidence in Christchurch. particularly from the medical profession and social workers. Evidence on all aspects of the question is welcomed, tiie committee being most anxious to gather whatever information is available on the subject.
