MEN BEING ABSORBED. (special to "the press.") WELLINGTON, May 20. In answer to an enquiry by a "Post" reporter to-day, the Minister of Public Works (Hon. J. G. Coates) stated that unemployed were being steadily provided for an*l absorbed: Since the last public statement on the subject a number of men had been put on to relief works and provision had been made for the employment of others. Special attention was being given to the finding of employment tor partially disabled soldierß. The Forestry Department was giving work also to a numl>er of men who were not accustomed to hard manual labour.
