About April 20th tho Prmco will inako a short trip to' Nikko, and will be the guest of H.I.H. Prince Kan-in, who accompanied the Crown Prince of Japan on his visit to England last year, at his villa at Odawara. The Prince will then visit Lake Ashi-no-ko t situated in the Hakone Mountain The Royal sight-seeing will bs continued after April 24th by a, visit to the most picturesaue lake district of rural Japan, which lies at the foot of the extensive mountain range of which the famous Mount Fuji is the highest point. ' From fcofir at the foot of the mountain, the Prince will proceed to Kioto, the ancient capital of Japan, whence he - will make a pilgrimage t 0 - Momoyama, to the Mausoleum of the late Emperor Moiji. His Royal Highness will also visit Omiya Gosho, a palace formerly used by the Imperial family, and situated in Kioto itself. From Kioto, where tho Prince will stay over a week, excursions will _be made on Lake Biwa, where the Prince will have an opportunity of admiring, the eight famous views for 1 which the lake is renowned. ' ; . ' After tho conclusion of the visit to Kioto, the Prince will proceed, about May sth, t 0 Nara. The tour will then embrace the great ports and industrial centres and Kobe, where a hearty welcome is also being prepared for the Prince by the municipal authorities. At Kobe His Royal Highness will embark and cross the Inland Sea, first..to Takamatsu, in Shikoku> (one. of the two southernmost of the main islands forming the Japanese Empire), where he will visit the superb park for which it is famous. Then, again crossing the Inland Sea, the Prince will reach Itsukushima, an island off the mainland, where he will be shown the quaintlv built and long corridored sacred shrine. Proceeding further south, his Royal Hifehness will pay a call at the Naval Cadets' College at Yetajima, and then visit tbe Naval Arsenal at Kure, on the Inland Sea. Then, once more embarking, the Prince will traverse the Inland Sea' to Kyushiu, the most southerly of the Japanese island group. Here he will be received by tho family of Prince Shimazu, who is now in England, and a luncheon Earty will be arranged in the Prince's onour. The Prince of Wales's tour in Japan will thus be brought to a close before the middle of May.
