Hughes, Secretary of State, has entered the- fight against the reduction of the personnel of the N"avy to 67,000. Ho sent a letter to Mr J. J. Rogers, M.H.R., stating it would bo injurious to the interests of the United States not to fully maintain the standard set out in the Naval Limitation Treatv.
