Swimmers from Wellingtoa will bo competing' in the Nordon Cup com--petition, which is a championship teat b«tw<»ifc the two provinces tor the following events:—-700ycb flying squadron, race, diving, and a water polo match. Tha 700 yd» flying squadron rac« will be a. great contest, rs included in tho Wellington team are euch swimmers na E. G. L. Paterson (holder of tho 100 yds Kow Zealand men's record), P. D. Edwards, and C,. Claridge, wlilo tho Canterbury team will include N. 8. Batchelor (who recently broke tho intermodiate lOOyda record), C. Atkinson, and R. B. Wheeley. Tho polo match will bo interesting, as Wellington, at tho last Now Zealand championships, wbq loading until tho la«it fiTo minutes. of tho <ramo.. Included in the programme are tho 220 yds championship of Canterbury, the Hollander Cup com- ■ petition, and' a number of ladles' and men'* infcorclub races.
