The Wellington crew will be the Star junior four, r.'ho hsve put up some remarkable performaticcß this season. Tho Marlborough crow are said to be veTjr strong, and the Canterbury crew havo been training consistently this last month, and are reported to be going exceptionally well, so a great race is anticipated. Tho first prize is valued at i'lso (a very line challenge cup valued at £IOO, presented by the Auckland Rowing Association, and a donation of £SO made by the Canterbury Bowing Association). In addition to the Inter-Provincial Four*, there will also be a- Firms' Four-oared Ra-ce. This is a new event, and op.o in which keen interest is beins; taken. Ho is. doing very fin& work, and if he goes to the post the Paddon of old, he will give Hadfield the raoo of his life. The tide should be idoal for the race, which iß>timed to start at !i.15 p.m. There is every indication that a very large crowd will be pr<«sent to watch the race.
