THE GLEIWITZ EXPLOSION.

More than thirty were killed by the Gleiwitz explosion. They were mostly French soldiers. Martial law has been declared. [A previous message said:—Twentythree French soldiers were killed and 10 wounded by a violent explosion near Gleiwitz, in Upper Silesia, during a search for concealed arms. A large quantity of rifles, machine-guns, and ammunition was found. The explosion was caused by a mechanical device previously placed in position.]
