WATER SUPPLY BOARD.
WAIMAKARIBI-ASHLEY. At the last meeting of {lie WaimakaririAahley Water Supply .Board tliero were pro Jas. Brown (chairman), J. Waller, H. F. Luers, B. F. Waylaud, a«j I'. A. Sheat. Tho monthly report from the caretaker at the handworks was read and adopted. Tho secretary was directed to instruct the ca.rotaker to put on a little more water, as the supply was getting rather 1-w in the Eangiora district. Correspondence was lead from tho clerk of tho Oxford County Council with regard to «. water-race running through Mr Skuxr'a property. In order to clear up a misunderstanding as to tho ownership of the race, it was decided by the Board that Mr Blown should consult with th» chairman of the I Council. .
A request was received from ' the Oxford Council to connect the i«Bidcnce> of their water-race caretaker with the Board's private line. It was agreed to allow the Council to come in on an equal tooting. Witt regard to water backing -up on Mr GrimaOy'a property, it was agreed that Ranger Morris ahould do what was necessary to prevent water flooding the property." The question of the annual inspection at Brown's Beck was discussed, and it was decided that the inspection ehoiijd toko place on Thursday. March 16th,
