WATER SUPPLY BOARD.

Tho monthly report from the caretaker at the handworks was read and adopted. Tho secretary was directed to instruct the ca.rotaker to put on a little more water, as the supply was getting rather 1-w in the Eangiora district. Correspondence was lead from tho clerk of tho Oxford County Council with regard to «. water-race running through Mr Skuxr'a property. In order to clear up a misunderstanding as to tho ownership of the race, it was decided by the Board that Mr Blown should consult with th» chairman of the I Council. .

A request was received from ' the Oxford Council to connect the i«Bidcnce> of their water-race caretaker with the Board's private line. It was agreed to allow the Council to come in on an equal tooting. Witt regard to water backing -up on Mr GrimaOy'a property, it was agreed that Ranger Morris ahould do what was necessary to prevent water flooding the property."
