Tlw Consul-General for Japan publishes an official cablegram announcing that, under the terms*of the Washington Conference agreement, Japan is forthwith discontinuing her fortifications of the llonin Islands and Oshima, but is maintaining the fortifications and naval bases at Formosa and the Pescadores.
