GAOL FOR SHOP-LIFTING.
(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) INVERCAHGILL, March 1. Two young women Myra McLaren (married) and Eileen Callaghan, sisters, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate s Court to several charges of stealing goods from drapers shops, and. receding goods knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. On the joint charge of theft each'was sentenced to fourteen days imprisonment, convictions without penalty being entered in the other cases.
