OBITUARY.
ME T. ipRGAN. The late Mr Thomas Morgan, who died in Lewisham Hospital last Friday, was an old and highly-respected farmer of the Akaroa district. He was bom m Ireland in 1847 a and came -to New Zealand with his parents five years later. He had spent _ practically all his life on Banks-Peninsula, farming successfully on Grehan Valley and at Takamatua. His wife predeceased him by a year. There was no family: His quiet, kindly disposition endeared him to a wide circle, of friends. The interment took place in Akaroa on Saturday,' The Eev. J. W. Hay ward officiating at the graveside. ■ >-
