■Moritz Woszkcwski, the distinguished I'oiish musician, best known as the composer of tho popular Mcsakowski Serenade, has fallen on evil days, owing to heavy financial losses incurred through tho war, and recently had to undergo a series of operations, tv-hicli hare left him so wsak that he iB incapacitated from doing any work, either as composer or pianist. A fund haa been opened in America as a means of relieving his distress, and his distinguished compatriot, Paderewski, headed the list with a donation of ICO dollars, Moszkowski has resided for some years in Paris.
