Dr. Welby Fisheiy on& of the sons of the late Mr T. R. Fisher, of Dnnedm, has given up his professional practice i& London and returned to New Zealand. He intends to settle in Weungton. . Mr W. J. Morris, a well-known sawmiller and mine-owner, of Reetton, is at present oh a visit to Christchurch. He leaves for Auckland on Saturday evening.

Mr D. W. Duthie, general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, who 'has been indisposed for some time, has recovered sufficiently to return to his home at Heretaunga.

Wyles: "That the members present express the pleasure they feel that the estimable secretary of the Advisory Board, Mr "William Pryor, has been so far restored to health and strength as to enable him once more to take part to some extent in tho work of the Board; tfciey desire to send him, through the president, Mr T. S. Weston, their greetings, and to eay that they hope that he will be, in the near future, blessed with a complete recovery to his former virile and vigorous self." The motion was carried by acclamation.
