AKAROA-WAINUI ROAD BOARD.
At the meeting of the Akaroa-Wainui Boad Board there were present—Messrs Geo. Armstrong (chairman), S. J. Vegan, T. Masefteld; B. Mould, and P. Cunningham. An apology was received, from Mr W. Warner. • Mr Vogan reported that the trials, of the' grader had been quite satisfactory. _ The Board's solicitors wrote stating that in their opinion the Board was quite justified in prosecuting persons from whom pounding fees had bean collected in respect to Btraying. stock. It waa decided to mate e. test case from the list of offenders supplied by the.rangor. .*.«.,.. Mr P. Cunningham was appointed tne Board's representative on the Peninsula Technioal Association. The finance report ehowed receipts £32 14s lOd accounts for payment £lO2 lis 6d, Bank of New Zealand dr. balance £1069 4s lid. It waa decided to sell, by auction-, tho right to harvest cocksfoot on the Boards The' Government Statistician wrote asking for cortain information concerning roads formed and unformed, metalled and unmetalled bridle tracks, etc. It was stated that the annual meeting or ratepayers would be held prior to next monthly meeting. Mx Masefield suggested the advisability of diaous*ing, at the'annual mating, the formation of ridings. The chairman reported that the bridges on the Purple' peak road and Hammond's Bridge, Takamatna, had l been rebuilt.
