SPREYDON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

Tho. annual meeting of the congregation of the Harrington street Presbyterian Onuroh, fctareydon, wan held on Thursday evening, •when the Moderator, Rev. Jtf. X>. h. Webster, of St. Andrew's Church, presided over a, large attendance. Reports wero read from the Session, Deacon's Court, Sunday School, Young Women's, and Young Men's .iJitilo Classes, »nd P.W.M.U., showing that each department was in ft satisfactory condition. The balance-sheets of tho different organisations showed a, substantial credit. jJur :: ing tho year two new class-rooms had been erected and furnished, at a cost of nearly £SOO, and wore free from deht. Tho electrio 'light was installed in the church at the same time as in the now. rooms, and was paid;for from voluntary contributions. Votes of thanks to the different officers and all helpeia were carried by acclamation. Iteforence to the splendid work done ; by the, niitsiojiaiy in chargo, Mr; F. E. H. Paton, during' his year and a half s ministry, wa3 made by «everal of the speakers, l>uring the evening Mr W. Comber (treasurer), on behalf of handed Mr Paton a oheque as a slight recognition of his splendid eervicea during the time he had been at Spreydfcn. Tho following committee was elected for the ensuing year:—Htessrs Comber, Richards,' Varies, Farmer, McMillan/Morris, Shiero, fleering, McCracken, and Rosa. At the conclusion of the business portion of the meeting ft abort musical programme was gone through, the following contributing:— Misses Munro and Taylor, and Messrs Ford, Francis, and_ Flewellyn, Miss Byron acting as acoompaniste. ■ The members of ■ the Ladies' Guild provided supper.
