In the House of Commons, Mr lan Macpherson, Minister of Pensions, stated that 4(5,150 war pensioners had died since the disability pensions had been granted. A New York message reports that at> Birmingham, Alabama, the Rev. Edwin Stephenson, a Methodist minister, dhot and killed the fie v. Father James Coyie, a Catholic priest, because the latter married Stephenson' a ,daughter Ruth to a CathGlic young man.
