The formalities in connexion with the renewal of the English mail contract) have been completed. The fortnightly service will start on September 24. (The P. and O. Company has agreed to despatch one mail vessel a month from England to Australia,'to alternate with the monthly departure of a mail vessel of the : Orient line. The British postal authorities have agreed to cooperate by despatchhg"the,mails in the P. and O. vessels, and all other details nave been arranged.
