DEATH OF MR B.M. MOLINEAUX.

Molineaux, Inspector for the Bank of New South Wales. >The late Mr Molineaux, who resided at 1 Park lane, Fendalton, was seeifig his daughter off on the tram leaving the West Belt, Riccarton, at ty.B p.m., and immediately after say-inggood-bye, he collapsed. .Dr. Crooke was; sent for, and, upon arrival, ho proi-ounced life extinct. Tie late Mr Boulton Merlin Molineaux was well known in banking and comrterclal circles in New Zealand, having i>een in the service of the Bank of New South Wales for many years. Joining the head office of the Bank of New Soutn Wales in Sydney in 1868, he secured such rapid promotion that in September, 1870, he was appointed accountant at Ravenswood, Queensland. Two years later Mr Molineaux returned to Sydney, and in the following year he was temporarily transferred to Charters Towers, returning to Ravenswood towards the end of 1873. In the following year he was sent to Townsville as relieving officer, and in 1875 he was granted twelve months' leave of absence to visit England. On his return to Australia, Mr Molineaux became acting-manager at Townsville, but left for Victoria at the end of the year, having been appointed to the staff in that State. .Early in 1877 he became manager at Cniltern, where he remained for two years. In January, 1879, he was transferred to Inglowood, in a similar capacity, where he remained until October, 1886, when he was transferred to Kyneton as manager. From that town he came to New Zealand in January, 1891, and took up the_duties of manaeer of the Wellington branch of the Bank. In :o'ctober. > - J 1894. 'Earlv in May the late Mr Molineaux returned to Christchurch, taking up his residence at Park' lane, Fendalton. The late Mr Molineaux leaves a widow and a family of three—Dr. L. M. Molineaux, Miss Molineaux, and Miss M. Molineaux, all of whom reside in Christchurch.
