BIG ENTRY OF STORE SHEEP, j MUTTON AND LAMB EASIER. (BY OCR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) Large yardings wero again in evidence at the weekly stock market, particularly in store sheep and fat lambs. Easier rates ruled for fat mutton and lamb, but for beef tho rates were about the same as last week 6. There was a large attendance of buyers and others. STORE SHEEP. Thero was an overflowing entry oi store sheep, consisting mainiy of lambs, with a slightly larger proportion of ewes and wethers than at recent sale?. The demand for lambs was firm throughout the sale, and practically a total clearance oi these was effected. There was a slightly better enquiry for grown sheep. Generally prices were unchanged. Values were as follows: — . Extra good halfbred ewe lam.be to 28s Id. Forward lambs 21s to 24s Id. Fairly forward lambs ISs 6d to 203 6d. Medium lambs 16s 6(1 to IS?. FAT LAMBS." The yarding of fat lanrtjs, wtich totalled about 8500, was the largest seen in the yards this year. It consisted principally of lambs oi medium quality, with a good proportion of primo stuff. From the beginning of the 6alc prices were lower than has been usual lately, and the figures reached were from 2s to 2s 6d a head below those of recent rates. The prices suited the freezing works people, whose buyers got most of the entry. The highest figure, 33s 6d, was obtained for the tops of a nice linn of 121 lambs sent in by a client, while a line of 16 sent forward by Mrs Hastings (Brookside'j realised 339.
