POSITION NORMAL AT DUNEDIN AND AUCKLAND. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAMB.) AUCKLAND, February 16. Overtimo on every ship in port was worked to-night. The departure of vessels will now be expedited, as tike watersiders have apparently reverted to the old order of things. DUNEDIN, February 16. A stop-work meeting of watersiders delayed work on the waterfront till ten o'clock to-day. Mr Boberts, Federation secretary, was present. No information was divulged. Work proceeded afterwards normally. TROUBLE AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 16. A majority of the watersiders hero refused to-day for tho first time to work overtime after 5 o'clock. While the Wellington Auckland, and otlher watersiders were adopting these tactics, the local men worked overtime,' but now the brighter outlook at the main ports has been clouded by the New Plymouth men "going slow." The men were not unanimous m their action, but no overtime was worked. OVERTIME WORKED AT LYTTELTON. All waterside workers ordered back for overtime last night responded to the call, and all vessels were working. Whether this is_ to be taken as a permanent resumption of overtime remains to be seen. Two overseas vessels, one intercolonial, one collier, and two coastal vessels cleared the port yesterday, and the congestion has been considerably relieved. Owing to the shortage of labour the Christchurch. Gas Company, which is urgently in need of coal, has been supplying two gangs for tihe Trewellavn, while a firm of timber merchants have been sending down two gangs to discharge the Kahika. There is no evidence of go-slow oi). the part of xho watersiders, who have been working at j normal speed during t)he daytime.
