A crowd attacked a train supposed to contain an arrested agitator. The rioters lay on the railway lines to prevent) the train proceeding. They stoned the police, who fired, causing casualties. The unrest over land matters is spreading, notably in the Raibareli and Agra districts), as a result of the agitation by Ghandhi's disciples, ostensibly to secure better treatment from the landlords. The extremist journals are fanning tlhe flame, and demanding a Government investigation.
