PRISON RAIDED.

NEW YORK, December 10. i A sensational triple lynching occurj red at Santa Rosa, a suburb of San j Francisco. i During recent weeks San Franciscohas been roused over the op.-rations of a gang of ex-pugilists, who kidnapped ; girls and took them to a lonely house, where they were terribly maltreated. Subsequent- j Fy, they traced the gang to Santa Kosa. ■ A* pitched battlo with revolvers lollowcd, in which three San Francisco detectives w. re shot, dead before nion were captured and lodged in tho Santa Jlosa gaol on Sunday last. i Yesterday morning a posso of ol) masked men visited the gaol and removed three of the prison.-rs, ' IJoytl, Fitts, and Tarento. and hanged them on n single branch of a tree Five companions of the lynched men arrested with them, wrr; removed from the custody of tho San Francisco ! police and placed in charge of the State , ■officials. Tho belief is that the dend policemen's friends took this method of dealing the severest warning to members of the San Francisco underworld.
