In moving the adoption of the balancesheet, the president referred to tho satisfactory condition of tho finances, and said he was confident thut the value of the assets was much greater than that set out. The Government valuation of the land was that accepted, and tho buildings and .material were set out at actual cost, except that the more perishable stuff had been written down. Tho railway loading- bank was a great convenience, and was greatly appreciated by exhibitors bringing their stock by rail. The Association had done wisely in erecting it, and the freo labour in connexion -with it was three times the value of the money expended. In spite of the wet, day the last show had been a great sucoeas, and the number and quality of tha exhibits.. liatUsurpassed those of many older associations. The Association was a popular one, and it was the aim of members to mako the shows in every sense popular. An earnest effort was made to encourage every industrial interest in the district. The only limit was that of finance. With a popular annual subGcnption of 10s Gd, the membership was gradually increasing, and the low entry fees encouraged the yeneral and casual exhibitor. Tha overdraft at the bank was being gradually reduced, and if subscriptions were paid promptly the interest account would bo considerably curtailed. Tho president thanked the committee, stewards, and members for their hearty co-operation, and the donors of special prizes for their valuable assistance. The balance-sheet was unanimously adopted.
