The Rev. Dr. Andrew Cameron has been re-elected Chancellor of the Otago University Council', and Sir John Roberts, vice-Chancellor.

At the conclusion of the service, the "Dead March" in "Saul" was played. "The Highland Lament" was given on the bagpipps by a scout, after which the "Last Post" was sounded by troop buglers.
