The last meeting of the Oxford Dorr; a. Beard woe attended b7 Messis A. Stub bo (ch&irman), H. Ah'ord, F. Dobcnham, and D. Hawk:. An apology was received for the absence of Mr i! vdc-. A letter and Gazette notice were received from the Minister of Lands, appointing Hessrs F. Debenham and G. A. Hyde membars of the Board. Tha question of granting a cite in Pearson Park for the erection of a soldiers' memorial was considcied, and it was resolved to grant a site between the centre walk and th<~ Public Library. It was resolved to allow the returned soldiers to use the Coronation Kail rent free, for one night in tlw months, of Hay, June, July, and August. Regarding: tie caees of stonethrowing at the Bath fence, two offenders wrote apologising and- promising not to repeat the offence. Thtir spologic3 were accepted. In regard to two who had not replied to the Board'o letter, the secretary was instructed to write again demanding an apology, or further action will be taken.
