WOELD CONTEBENCE IN LONDON. (By Cable— Press Association—Copyrigihl.) (Reuter's Telegram*.; (Received July 9th, 9.10- p.m.) LONDON, July 8. The World Zionist' Conference lias opened in London, 250 delegates being present. The principal subjects of discussion are the colonisation of Palestine and tho rapid organisation of immigration. The chairman, Dr. declared that millions of Jews in Eastern Europe had been facing death in the seven circles of hell. "For the multi-massacres of tho Ukraine, not Heaven nor the mercy of angels would find palliation. Nebuchadnezzar -was a nobleman compared wtih. those murM. Ussishkin, vice-president of tho Zionist Commission, said that at least 30,000 Jews must be settled in Palestine annually in the next few years. The sum of £4,000,000 would ho required during tho first few years for land purchase, immigration, cultural and public works. Dr. Branressen, of tho United States, was elected President of the Conference, and Dr. Max Nordau, vice-presi-dent.
