COAL MINERS.
BRITISH BILL OPPOSED,
(By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and Jf.Z. Cable Association.) (Received July, 9th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 8. The Conference of the Miners' Federation passed a resolution refusing to operate tho Mines Bill if it is passed, and urging the Labour Party to vigoroppose the measure.

In the Federal House of Representatives, Mr Lammond moved the adjournment in orden to discuss the unrest in the coal industry. Considerable heckling followed, the Opposition accusing the Government of being afraid to stand up to an unusual motion. . Mr Hughes, after referring to the delays in the Arbitration Court, said he intended to estabHoh a special tribunal to deal with tho dispute. The tribunal would consist of an equal number of employers and employees.
