The correspondence received with regard to tho Olympic Fund disclosed that there was little support being given in this matter. 1

Jlr Kich considered that the Council should nominate swimmers to compcte at the Olympic Games, and then Eei about to raise the necessary money for the competitors' expenses.

Mr O'Neill said that the body to take that action was the Canterbury Association, and that hotly had t«m«l the proposal down. He was against the Council devolving into a Canterbury Centre. The Council should set itself in a position to finnncn any swimming representatives chosen from New Zealand for the Olympic contests.
