FIRES.
The Fire Brigade was called out at) 2.30 a.m. yesterday to an outbreak of fire at 363 Lincoln road, a two-storeyed ! block of business buildings, owned 1 by : Mr A. J. Hintz and occupied by several ' tenants. Tho blaze had got a good hold j of the upstairs portion of the premises, I occupied mainly by Messrs Fox Bros. ' and Chivers, manufacturing confectioners, before tho brigade arrived on the scene. The top portion of the buildings was gutted, and the contents of the lower storey were considerably damaged by water. The contents were insured in the Or>ean office for £4PO, ■ while the bnildings wero insured for £4060 in the Royal office. (PRESS ASSOCTATTOV TBTjEGnAM.) MASTERTON, Juno 27. Glenronald homestead at Bideford, of about fourteen rooms, was totally destroyed by fire at four o'clock this morning. The inmates had a narrow escape, getting out in their night at-, tire. A boon to public speakers, singers, and reciters is "NAZOL." 'Keeps the throat clear as" a bell. Can be taken anywhere. 1
