All ABOA-WAINUI. There were ten candidates for tho five seats on tho Akaroa-Wainui Road lkard, the election for which took place yesterday. Stewart ... ... 126 J. Hay ward ... ... 103 Mr Armstrong, who headed the poll, is Mayor of Akaroa, and has been chairman of the Road Board for some years. SOUTH ItAKAIA. An election for five members for the South Rakaia Road Board took place j-estorday. There were six candidates, and the polling was as follows-:— H. J. Harrison... ... 183 A. J. Magson ... ... 175 J.
