Since the last meeting the river had been in flood practically tho whole time, taking away a lot of the foreshore at Kairaki, and damaging the Saltwater Creek bridge to such an that it was now unejfe. The Finance Committee's report showed; —Receipts £t3 15s lOd, bank balanoo £14 I9s 11a. —Adopted. The tender of tho Kaiapoi Shipping Company for the lease of buildings and sections iu Charles street was ! accented.
