Ayes (7) —Crs. Taylor, Hayward, Sullivan, Herbert, Wells, Howard, Burgoyne.

Noes (10)—Crs. Ell, Loasby, Peek, Nicholls, Beanland, Glimie, McKellar, Flesher, Williams, and the Mayor. Crs. Flesher's motion waß then put, and carried by 10 votes to 7, on a similar . division.
