Tho Aliens Committee has recommended the Government not to allow Germans to enter Australia during the next five years. LIVING WAGE FOR WOMEN. (Received December 18th, 1.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 17. The Board of Trado has fixed the living wage for adult female employees at 7sd per hour, five shillings a day, or thirty shillings a week. ENGINEERS GIVE NOTICE OF A STRIKE. SYDsNEY, December 17. The Amalgamated Society of Engineers has given tho Minister of Labour fourteen days' notice of a strike. INTERNED IRISHMEN TO BE RELEASED. MELBOURNE, December 17. The Federal Cabinet has decided to release the interned Irishmen, with the exception of Dryer, whoso cage will ( be considered later.
