GOLF.
COMPETITIONS AT SHIRLEY. Tho Chriatchurch Golf Club held two competitions on the Shirley Links yesterday, the entrance fees received going to the Red Cross Funds. Tho competitions, which were open to any amateur player, attracted a goodly number of entrants. The stroke_ handicap was'won by W. P.'Anderson, with a_ net score of 77. There were 29 competitors. In the four-ball bogey handicap, Wyinks and Moares, and Woodroffe and Newman tied with 4 up.
