ADULTERATED MILK.
SALUTAfti FINES IMPOSED. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) , WELLINGTON, August 23. _In the Magistrate's Court to-day, Harry Lake, a dairyman, charged with ®wane milk to which water had been added, was fined £50. The Magistrate, Mr F. v. Frazer, at first imposed a sentence of fourteen days' imprisonment, but on account of representations made regarding the health of defendant's wife, struck out the order for imprisonment. lira C. Solomon, for selling watered milk, was fined £20. . Dennis Sullivan, for selling adulterated milk, was fined £2. In thi9 case the defendant received milk from a farmer which had been skimmed and te tailed it without testing it.
