LAKE COLERIDGE POWER.
ADDITIONAL STANDBY PLANT. Tho recent 6crious failure in tjio Lake Coleridge electric supply led to the City Council's Electricity Committee going into the question of securing a standby plant. Last evening tho committee reported to the Council that it Lad had an interview with the Public Works Department electrical engineers on the matter, and it had been decided to havo plans prepared for tho rearrangement of the station and provision of an additional standby plant of about COO k.w. capacity. *As this might involve the rearrangement of tho existing boilers and tho provision of additional boiler the city electrical engineer hail been authorised to consult with a local steam enginoer on the subject.
