Sir llobort Bm'on's motion, providing for an address to tho throne, requesting the King to refrain from granting titles to residents of Canada except upon the advice of the Canadian Premier was adopted after a sharp debate, in the coursc of which the Premier threatened to resign if amendments were carried. No objection was offered to military and naval distinctions.
