SALTATION ARMY WAR FUND.

A message from Commissioner Hodder, Offioor in Charge of tho Salvation Army operations in Now Zealand:—

Tho Salvation Army is "without question answering a tremendous need and accomplishing a herculean work. Hundreds of thousands of men are laying down their lives, and millions are ready to sanrifico theirs in order to save our Empire. When wo have done our utmost it is bu.t little in comparison with their sufferings and sacrifices. In spite df all that is being dono, the work is inadequate to the need; considerably more ought to be done for these brav© fellows. Tho Salvation Array has a great amount of machinery, and is capable of getting the most out of the sovereign. The Citizens' Committee are to close the fund by the end of this month. Intending: contributors are requested to send their donations as soon as posnb!e.
