Sailed, Wangunui, Breezo (4 a.m.); Aknroa, Oyernet (9.15 a.m.); Wellington, Mamroa (7.60 p.m.; Timaru, Putiki (7.30 p.m), Calm (9.45 p.m.), all for Lyttclton. ' SHIPPING NOTES. The Kokiri has been bar-bound at Greymouth, owing' to heavy seas. It is hoped' to despsich tho veesel to-day for Lyttelton. She k bringing a full load of coal for dis.cirarge at this port. The Kini will leave Onchunga to-day for Greymouth, to load coal for discharge at Lyttelton. Mr A. R. Smith has signed on the Mararoa as assistant purser, replacing Mr Olliver. Mr W. Thomas, assistant purser of the Mnponrika, has signed off tho vessel's articles. Mr John McPhcrson, a member of tho Transport Board, and formerly chief engineer of the Government steamer Tutanekai, is at present very seriously ill in Bowes street private hospital, Wellington. UNION COMPANY'S RECORD. According to the Dnnedin. "Star," over 77 i masters and deck officers on the Union Com- ■ pany's staff have gone on active service. Thi j majority joined the Navy, while a number of thoso who joined tho Expeditionary Forco3 • were afterwards transferred to the Navy. The casualties so far have been three killed in action, one died of wounds, and si* wounded. Those killed are Lieutenant-Com-mander W. E. Sanders, D.5.0., V.C., Kr F. A. Clark, and Mr Y. J. Hay; died of wounds, Mr WS. Gilpin. Wou tided: Messrs A. E. Cain, W. F. Suckling, C. M. Campbell, A. Cook, G. A. Herbert, and E. C. Serin eson. Messrs C. M. Campbell and G A. Herbert have rejoined the Union Company service.
