A westerly storm area envelops the Dominion, and high north-westerly winds have prevailed with cloudy, squally conditions, and rain generally. Present indications aro for high squally westerly winds, the weather cloudy to overcast, rivers flooded in Wesfland and the •southern districts, enow on the higher levels in the south, and colder weather following, the glass low and unsteady in the south.
