OVER £300 REALISED. On Saturday the Okaia'a Bav portion of Bunks Peninsula held a. carnival in tho Recreation Ground in o.id of th© Eastern Bays' Soldier Kinf* candidate. There was a very larpe attendance. A liand-mado woollen *?orts coat, given by Urn W. Thn-ck/n-. realised £3 18s, and was won by J. Mnorc. A. camisolo. worked I>v Miss Aldridgc, of i> Bon's Bay, _ netted £1 IO«, and wvis won by Mrs G. Ifarris. A flap crehion ma/Jo by Miss K. Mason, brought in £2 Ss, and wis secured by E. Bailey. It was generously given back and sold for £1 10s. An. En«rlieh Leicester wethor was Riven by M r C. B. Tbacker for 0 giicesin°' competition, tho dinner beinfr L. Mason. The actual weight, was 20111b. The slicep was tben sold and fetched J!2 81. A dressed sheep, given bv Mr E. HaiO'-". mado £■2 1% and a fruit cake, given by Mrs R. Harlle-, '-"iilised JPU'IQf. A dree?ed sho?p, given by Messrs Ma?on Bros., bronpht in £3 Ha. Mrs Tiolcyn gave a cushion, which sold for lis. PntatnAs and a sucking nig, (riven by Mr C. R_/ Moore, sold for. £2. A sack of potatoes, piven by Mr A. Ware, was sold for Ua, and several sacks of tubers, !»iv<m by Mr P. Lindsay, realised XT. Jam, s/iven by Mm Ware, realised a fsi r sum. A sack of cirrot3, riven by Mr« Holsf.oin, sold for 9a. Mrs Boleyn's dressc.l doll was secured by Mrs 11. Wilkins at 17s. Tho salo of Eurpriso brought in £10, and jov rides in Mr T. Ware's car £2 lfis. Cases of armies a.r-1 »_ quantity of turnips, given by Mr P. J. Lindsay, realised £1. A ham, ?iven by Mrs 13. Harris, brought 16s. A cord of fircwoof, given by Mr Geo. Hartley, was sold for £2 fis. A fat bullock was given by Mr J. H. C. Thacjfor, to be sold for the Patriotic !t?und. A prisp of £lo was offered for (bo nearest pueas at the actual live weight, the decision to be (riven on Thursday. Mr -A. Wae-born, of Little Akaloa, gave a two-year-old heifer and a pony.
