In the case of John Brownlee, butcher, of Springiield, lor whom Hr V/right appeared, further evidence was hea.rd, and tho appellant examined at length by tho chairman and tho military representative, 'l'lio appeal had been dismissed in last, onu tho present was an application for a re-hearing by reservist's mother, i-.nd previously several times adjourned. The Board considered that tho moat supply of the district could bo arranged ior trom {Jhristchurcli by train, and conrirmed its original decision, giving leave to tho July draft.

Tho appeal, of George Cridgo, junior, a Darfield butcher, for whom Mr Thomas appeared, had been previously adjourned 6ino die. The evidence showed that the business could be earned on by reservist's father and members of the family. Ilia appeal was disallowed, and b© was instructed to go to camp with the J-uly diaft.

Benjamin Hayes, farmer, of Halkeit, reclassed CI, was granted a further adjournment to cce how his brother stood his training in the Cl Camp.

Thomas Kennedy, of liirwec, farmer, rejected on enlistment, had been classed C' 2 under the ballot. On being re classed Cl he had asked for time to linish his harvest. Having since notified the Board that he was' ready to go to camp, liisi application waa dismissed, and he was instructed to go with tho next draft.
