However, ; raanv excellent courses wero witnessed, especially that between • Dainty and Comedietta, p. long and Jbril- , linnt course, ending in a clever kill. Dainty ' received an ovnlion, and in tho succeeding round in receiving the verdict over Star of .Erin, deservedly carried off tho honours\of tho meeting. Norman Tuckfield, who was third dog in the last Waterloo Cup-, "also gave a splendid exhibition of his wonderful ppcerl in his conrao with Tautapcre. Others deserving mention were Sweet Home and Carlyon. v.; . Owing to the failing light it was impossible to finish the stake, and a division wair decided upon, this being made possibly through! tho generosity of the owner of Dainty, 'Mr D. Cave, of Sfethven. Tho owners and dogs . participating in the division of tho stake wcrn: —Mr t>. Cave's fawn' bitch Dainty.- Hr C. M-ark'a (Dunedin) blk and w d Norman Tuckfield, Mr M. Hurley's red dog Carlyon, Mr W.
