SOUTH AUSTRALIAN WHEAT,
ADELAIDE. May 16. The wheat harvest for 1917-18 is estimated to yield 28,692,594 bushels, compared with 45,745,064 for the previous season.
OUTPUT OF MINERALS
SYDNEY, May 16. The mineral output of New South Wales for 1917 is valued at £12,952,719, an increase of £1,976,977 compared with 1916.
RECRUITING BOOM CONTINUES.

The recruiting boom continues. A great rally and military parade will be held to-morrow, when an attempt will be made to enlist 500 recruits during the day.
A deferred battalion is being formed for those not quit© up to the standard. The men will be gradually developed until they are fit to draft into the* force.
