THE PREMIERS' CONFERENCE.

SYDNEY, May 16. The Premiers' Conference has closed. It dealt v wifch a large number of questions. chiefly of inter-State interest. Sereral larger matters affecting Stat.i and Commonwealth relations and finance were remitted to a further conference of State and Commonwealth Treasurers, to be held in July. Amongst other recommendatiohs was one that wheat-growers should be guaranteed 4s 4d per bushel for the voars 1918, 1919, and 1920.
