THEFT ON TEE MAORI.
(PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)
WELLINGTON May 15. John Dimmock and Robert Murray were sentenced to three months' imprisonment at the Police Court this morning for theft of £4 from the cabin of a saloon passenger on the Maori on the night of May 12th. Evidence was given that the accused were steerage passengers, and were found in the precincts of the saloon and were ordered back to the steerage. The missing money was found on the accused.
