At tlie monthly meeting of the Selwyn County Council there wore , present—Mr K. Wilson (chairman), and Councillors J. Hockridge, H. F. Hiatt, G. Hall, W. Stone, K. Murchison, W, A. Fairweather, G. Higut, and F. J. Andrew. _ The North Canterbury Hospital Board v'rote, forwarding etatement.3 ehowing the estimated receipts and expenditure, and tho apportionment cf the levy upon the contributing local authorities for tho year 19181919, the amount allocated to this county being £1715 llg Bd, or £690 ISs 4d in excess of last year' 3 contribution. Tho clerk waa directed to obtain further information. It was dccided that repair® be carried out to the Mount Algidus toad, and to' call tenders for re-form ins; part of tho llakuia Terrace road and Morgan's road.

Hall moved:—"That the Minister of JrQblic Health Ijq asked to authorise this County Council to raise a. loan of £750 for the extension of the sewerage system at the amount to include provision « ~, JL ret interest and sinking fuzKi.
