GOVERNOR'S BAY.
The fourth show of the season of (ho Port Victoria (Governor's Bay and surrounding 1 bays) Horticultural Society took place laafc week in the Allendale Hall. Tho attendance was a record, also the number of exhibitors, aud the was laxed to it 3 utmost. The exhibits' of fruit wexo extremely good, being largo and highly coloured, characteristic of the district. The chrysanthemums and other cut flowers were of fine quality, and made a grand display. Tho V€g ) stabl<i , s, although not too numerous, woro of good quality. Tho domestic sections were well filled, and created considerable interest. Mr H. H. C'holmoudeley stagod a very large collection of hardy cut flowers (for exhibition only), and was awarded a certificate of merit. Mr Orton Bradley staged a very large collection (£6 varieties)) of wattles, which was a very int&resting exhibit. Mrs J. E. Davenport exhibited somo. very fin® Sturmer apples, also potatoes, and many other exhibits were staged for exhibition only. Afternoon tea was provided, during which Mrs S. W. Pair man. played several pianoforte selections, which were much Appreciated. Messrs W. J. Courtier and D. M. Bradbury (fruit and flowers), and Mrs A. Small and Miss Pilkington (domestic ecctiolis) were the judges. Mr W. A. Carpenter, hon. secretary, and th& committee made satisfactory arrangements for tho ©how. The pri re-list is as under:— "
