TERRITORIAL OFFICERS.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PRESS."
Sir, —111 your issue of 11th you have a Wellington telegram under the above heading, in which it is stated that as these gentlemen did not answer the call for volunteers they were taken into camp as conscripts. Now, sir, t nm sure you are not aware of the true position, or you would not have published such a statement. The majority of these officers had enlisted, some of them three and four times, but were rejected as medically unfit, whilst others had beep passed as fit, but were put on the "waiting list" until vacancies occurred for them. In the face of this then is it fair to brand these officers as conscripts?— Yours, etc., DINKUM.
