GERMAN CAMPAIGN OF FALSEHOOD.
MELBOURNE, May 3. The following American wireless message was received in Melbourne to-day from Honolulu:—
"Trans-Pacific arriving at San Francisco to-day state that their steamer picked up a wireless German, message in mid-ocean, claiming great victories in France, and describing Flanders as a 'huge British cemetery.' The passengers, however,, learned of tho real situation through United States radio's, which are confirmed by tfie official despatches in tho newspapers. They eagerly read to-day's despatches in the newspapers telling of the success of the United States troops in their first participation in the great battle ea'st ,of Amions, whore many Germans wero slam, wounded, and captured in hand-to-hand fighting."
